The tournament organized by COTECC brings players together from Central America  and the entire Caribbean to compete for the championship.

Jorja Mederick, Alysa Elliott and Arden Rosemond so far has secured wins for the team in the round robin phase of competition. Unfortunately because of their fall to Guatemala, Trinidad and Mexico they were unable to advance to the main draw which is a grade one event. All the local players were place in the second grade 3 draw where Alysa Elliott and Iyana Paul advanced to the second round of play.

Iyana got through with a bye but Alysa Elliott took on Suriname defeating her in straight sets 6-4 6-0. Paul and Elliott will play the quarter final tomorrow with Paul facing Alla Keenly from Suriname and Elliott facing Alyssa James from Jamaica the number one seed in the draw.
