ESTAVA CLAIMS HIS FIRST U12 NATIONAL TITLE

Denney Estava has won the National Independence U12 Boys Singles Championship. 

The National Independence Tennis Tournament sponsored by Lucelec was contested last week with entries from four academies on island. The boys U12 draw was very competitive as per normal with a new champion being crowned at the end of the event. 

Denney Estava took the boys U12 tittle with no hesitation on Wednesday playing the final against former U10 champion Sanjay Lake. Estava did exceptionally well in the round robin phase of the competition not dropping a set or losing a game. In the main draw he also defeated Aiden Rosemond in straight sets 4-0 4-0.  His intentions were clear during the event not allowing himself to lose a game which he did when he played Lake in the final winning in straight sets 4-0 4-1. 

His results has never been seen before among the juniors in a local tournament, his performance was very impressive and it was quite deserving of a gold medal. We congratulate Denney Estava and wish him the best future events.
