Estava wins his first regional title at the Sagicor Junior International Tennis Tournament

The Sagicor U12 boys singles and doubles title will remain in St Lucia after a week of intense competition in Beausejour Gros-Islet at the National Tennis Centre at the recently concluded Sagicor Junior International Tennis Tournament 2023. This title was contested by athletes from Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Cuba and host St Lucia.

Estava cruised through the round robin draw without losing a set or a game to top the table at the end of the RR. In the first round of the main draw he faced Justin Duncan from Trinidad & Tobago defeating him straight sets 4-0 4-0. He then faced Nathaniel Lawrence from St. Vincent & the Grenadines defeating him with the same score 4-0 4-0 in the second round of the main draw. Making the final without losing a game or set he faced his team mate and countryman Sanjay Lake, Estava lost the first set 1-4, he had a slow start in the second set winning 4-2 then claimed the match and his first regional title defeating Lake in 3 sets 1-4 4-2 4-0.

In the doubles Estava partnered with Cruz Thornton from Barbados where the duo fought for their spot in the final after defeating the all St Lucian team Immanuel Charles and Sanjay Lake in the semi-final. Thornton and Estava faced a mixed duo Vincentian Nathanael Lawrence and Cuban Krish Puga. The team defeated Lawrence and Puga in straights sets.
