Six St Lucian athletes have advanced to the main draw of the Sagicor Junior International Tennis Tournament which served off over the weekend. There were eighteen athletes registered in total, ten girls namely  Merkisha Justin, Samuella Bertrand, Jaelyn Henry, Makkedah Charles, Kurlissa Charles, Imara-Marie Fadlien-Fevrier, Amia Jn Marie, Brianna Jn Baptiste,  Amara Jn Marie and Anaiah Bousquet, and eight boys namely Immanuel Charles,  Aiden Rosemond, Armani Rosemond, Denney Estava, Alhil Cyril, Sanjay Lake, Nathanael Charles and McCarvy Cyril.

With the daily late starts due to the inclement weather conditions the main draw positions are finally determined. In the girls U12 category, going into the main draw is Kurlissa Charles, Jaelyn Henry and Amia Jn Marie. After losing to Abba Campbell-Smith from Trinidad and Tobago, Charles claimed her main draw spot by defeating Merkisha Justin in straight sets 4-2 4-1. In the boys U12 category Alhil Cyril and Denney Estava advanced from the group stage. McCarvy Cyril is the only St. Lucian to advance to the main draw in the U14 category.
