First on court Jorja Mederick number one ranked player in the 14 & under category breezed her way through her first match against Amelia Rosemond winning in straight sets 6-0 6-2.

Iyana Paul took on Alysa Elliott on court four of the girls 18s RR she was able to come through after two hours of being on court. It was a tough three setter for the girls with Paul claiming the first set 6-3 and Elliott the second 6-2. Paul kept it together in the third and the third set 6-4 making it her first win in the 18 & under category at a National Event. The girls draw is very competitive as the players try to seek ranking points in that age group.
